The InPACT proteome database is dedicated to researches in environmental microbiology (organisms and communities).

It has been initially developed between different partners with expertise in microbiology (P. Bertin, University of Strasbourg), genomics (C.Médigue, Génoscope) and proteomics (A. Van Dorsselaer, CNRS) in the frame of a scientific research network (GDR2909).

To achieve further development, the database has been recently transferred to the Bioinformatics Platform of Strasbourg (F. Plewniak, IGBMC)
